Our History and Leadership
Sitara Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL) was incorporated in 1981 and began its operations in 1985 with an initial production capacity of 30 metric tons per day of caustic soda. Over the years, the company has consistently expanded its capabilities, reaching a current production capacity of 630 metric tons per day.
With a strong commitment to growth and innovation, SCIL has become the largest producer of Chlor-Alkali products in Pakistan, setting benchmarks in quality and industrial performance.
In 1995, the company diversified into the textile sector by establishing a state-of-the-art spinning unit equipped with advanced European and Japanese technology. The unit, with 28,512 spindles, is capable of producing a wide range of yarns including polyester, acrylic, and viscose, while maintaining compliance with international standards such as GRS and BCI.
