Mr. Muhammad Adrees

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Muhammad Adrees, the CEO of Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd (SCIL), is a seasoned leader with a robust educational background. He graduated from Punjab University before pursuing advanced studies in Business Administration in the U.K. Upon returning to Pakistan in 1982, Mr. Adrees joined Sitara Textile Industries as Director – In charge of Export until 1983-84. He then transitioned to Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd., assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Under his dynamic leadership, SCIL has experienced significant growth, increasing its annual production capacity from a modest 10,000 MT in 1984 to an impressive 207,900 MT. The company has also seen marked improvements in profitability and creditworthiness, further solidifying its position as an industry leader.

Mr. Haseeb Ahmad

Director

Mr. Haseeb Ahmad, the son of CEO Mr. Muhammad Adrees, holds a business degree with distinction from LUMS. He joined SCIL in 2009, bringing a wealth of knowledge from one of Pakistan’s top business schools. Initially overseeing Finance & Accounts, Commercial Operations, and Global Marketing, Mr. Haseeb played a pivotal role in achieving substantial growth in exports, finances, and overall profitability by December 2012.

In January 2013, he took charge of Works, Commercial Operations, and Global Sales, with a clear mandate to drive similar successes in production operations. Mr. Haseeb also led the 40 MW Coal Power Plant Project, which was inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, on September 3, 2016 — a remarkable milestone in SCIL’s expansion.

Mr. Ahmad Nawaz

Director

Mr. Ahmad Nawaz serves as a Director at SCIL, bringing with him over 10 years of experience in the textile machinery manufacturing and merchandising sectors. Holding a BSC (Computer) degree, Mr. Ahmad is a highly regarded businessman with expertise in power generation solutions, including solar power, gas, petrol, and diesel generators.

Mr. Haroon Ahmed Zuberi

Independent Director

With over 30 years of experience in general and financial management, Mr. Haroon Zuberi is an accomplished executive with a track record of leading manufacturing and leasing industries. He has served as a CEO for 15 years and a financial manager for another 15 years. His results-driven leadership style focuses on maximizing productivity, cost control, and resolving operational challenges efficiently.

Mr. Ahmad Hassan

Independent Director

Mr. Ahmad Hassan is a highly experienced businessman and currently serves as CEO of Chenab Engineering Works & Foundries (Pvt.) Ltd. He holds a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Punjab, Lahore, and has held various prominent positions, including Chairman of the Standing Committee R&D at FCCI, Vice President of FCCI, and Executive Member of Pakistan Foundry Association.

Mrs. Shala Waheed Sher

Non-Executive Director

Mrs. Shala Waheed Sher, a dedicated social and welfare advocate, brings a wealth of experience in community development, both in Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Her presence on the Board of SCIL enhances the company’s focus on fulfilling its social welfare responsibilities, contributing positively to society.

Mr. Najmul Hoda Khan

Director

Mr. Najmul Hoda Khan serves as the Chief Financial Officer of EFU General Insurance Limited and holds directorships on several boards. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA). With a Master’s degree in Economics and more than 16 years of extensive experience in finance, taxation, auditing, and internal control evaluation, Mr. Khan is an invaluable asset to SCIL’s financial strategy.

Additionally, Mr. Khan is the Managing Trustee of Future Trust, a philanthropic initiative of JS Group.
